Lenten Devotional: Tuesday, March 24, 2015

Matthew 7:1-2 [Jesus said] “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the
same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use,
it will be measured to you.”

Romans 2:1 “You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone
else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself,
because you who pass judgment do the same things.”matthew7_1

I have promised God that I would focus my time on him if he helped me. I then in turn
now need to work on how I judge others. I don’t want to judge people because in the
Bible it says, judge not or you will be judged in the same measure you judge. I tend to
be heartless and uncaring, judging people before I even have the chance to meet them.
I never want anyone to judge me on anything in my life because when it comes down
to it, I need to change in the future.

Prayer: Dear God, help me not to pass judgment on others. Help me to understand
that judgment is not the way to help someone. I don’t need to tear anyone down in my
life. Amen
