Lenten Devotional: Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Matthew 11:29 [Jesus said] “Take my yoke upon you, also learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

A yoke is a working harness for two animals to work together, side by side so that when I take Jesus’ yoke upon me, I am not alone. Jesus is beside me in the other yoke, beside me, with me, working together in the field of life. Jesus is always present, always there to work with me, to teach, guide and deliver me.Bullock_yokes

Prayer: Jesus, help me to be mindful I am not alone. You are always present in my life beside me. Amen.
